“I was looking for a healthy new way to get in shape and came across a CrossFit gym near me two and half years ago. Morgan was one of the first few coaches I met when I officially started classes. At first, my social anxiety got the best of me, but her very welcoming personality set my nerves at ease. As a coach, she explained the workout so well that I felt I could push myself to complete it. Her extraordinary attention to detail not only helped me fix my form while doing the exercise but also forced me to do better. Her classes not only made me feel powerful, but they showed me that I can do it. Honestly, without her in my corner during the workouts, I don’t think I would ever get the confidence to lift heavier the safe way. I began receiving coaching from Morgan in 2018. When I started, I wasn't athletic at all. I had never played sports and had no idea what I was doing in a gym. I couldn't even squat without tipping over. With her teaching I quickly improved in every aspect of physical activity. Her cues made me more confident in the lifts. Her yells of encouragement made me push myself harder than I thought possible. I got stronger and faster, gained greater endurance, and became more coordinated. I was also looking pretty darn good, too. Unfortunately, like for a lot of people, I became a lot less physically active during the turmoil of 2020. I stopped taking Morgan's classes, hardly stepped in a gym for years, and lost a lot of the gains that I had made. But when I had the crazy idea to join the Army at the age of 32, I knew that I needed to get back in shape. Morgan was the first and only person I reached out to help me reach my goals. Thanks to her and Alex's help, I am sure that I will be much more capable of performing the tasks that will be expected of me in basic training. More important than the quality of the coaching itself, Morgan and Alex are excellent people. You will be really glad to know them. You won't feel like you're just a client to them. They'll be your friends that you'll be excited to chat with before and after your workouts every day.
